BANGKOK: Thailand crushed Pakistan 4-0 in a friendly
international here on Saturday.
Teerasil Dangda fired the Thais into the lead on seven minutes and Rangsan Vitatchaichoke added a second from the penalty spot a minute later, to give the hosts a comfortable early lead.
Teerasil scored his second after eight minutes and it looked like Pakistan were in for some serious whipping.
But the visiting side managed to get behind the ball and limit the damage to one more goal by substitute forward Teerathep Winothai shortly after the break.
Rangsan had a chance to make it 5-0 for the Thais but failed to convert his second penalty.
