
BANGKOK – AFC Cup 2009 quarter-finalists Chonburi moved three points clear of Bangkok Glass at the top of the Thailand Premier League standings with a 2-1 win over BEC Tero Sasana as domestic action resumed following the mid-season break. Pipob On-mo put Chonburi a goal to the good with just seven minutes played before Kriangkrai Pimrat doubled the Shark’s lead in the 23rd minute.Chakrit Buathong pulled one back for the inaugural AFC Champions League finalists on the hour mark but Chonburi were not to be denied their tenth win of the campaign, which took them three clear of Bangkok Glass following their 2-1 loss to the Telephone Organisation of Thailand (TOT).TOT skipper Suchao Nutnum opened the scoring two minutes before the break with team-mate Valci Junior adding the second ten minutes into the second-half with former Phnom Penh Crown striker Samuel Arjayi on target for the Glass Rabbits.
